Hello gang, Someone on another forum asked about a watch mechanic to work on the 6S37 movement in his SBDS001, and I thought of Randall Benson, aka Dr. Seiko. But doing some research before recommending him, it seems like Randall dropped off the face of the Internets about a year ago.  Does anyone have any information concerning him? Recent activities or health?  Could we please keep replies near the topic? I don't need to hear that, "I wouldn't recommend that bastard to clean my ..."

Yes, certainly no activity on Seikoholics. I’d like to copy the whole thing in case it disappears as there is amazing info on there but I’m afraid that is beyond my tech skills.

If Randall catches you taking his stuff without permission, he may start litigation. He believes he owns it even though most of it was put their by others who had collected and compiled the data themselves.

Threaten litigation or start litigation? One is very cheap and one can be expensive. Anyway, haven’t downloaded a single byte yet! |

Hi. I wouldn’t play with him either way. I always found him to be a great bloke, maybe because we were allies in a number of causes, but I did see the ability to strike when he felt the need. Cheers Phil

This reply accidentally landed on shout box. Sometime after the eelpie incident. Eelpie pie asked for a recommendation for a Seiko watch expert on the Timezone forum. I posted that Dr. Seiko was the gun operated for Seiko Watches. Didn’t go over too well. Cheers Phil

The dude is crazy. It seems he got behind in work for around 2 years. When people started asking about their watches he was sending them threatening psychotic replies. Which is a shame because I believe he was one of the guys who paved the way for some mods on Seiko watches.
I tried to get him to do some work a few years back and instead I got blasted with some craziness. It went so far that he even had his wife post some negative replies.
