Just picked up this 5j22 from Raymon. I like the idea of auto relay but should have invested in a running example. Is it easy enough to test if the watch is running by putting a standard sr920 negative side up, putting the battery contacts on but leave the rotor off? If yes then will the battery saving function work or be disabled as I expect it is the movement of the rotor that would drive this.

I have converted many of these watches to regular battery and it works just fine. I don't know about the auto relay though. It should work but the only way to find out is try it; there is no danger of damage ...at least I don't think there is
