Hi everyone, I bought around 2/3 weeks ago a 6139-6010 from JANUARY 1969 with the number # 910170.I was looking for one for a while and I finally got it on Yahoo for some Euro (€€€). I knew only one other from Nikidasi with the number # 910149 . This is probably SAMPLE's from the first Automatic Chronograph from SUWA .from my eyes it has a hysterical value. The thing was is the dial was from November/December 1968 .So this morning i desasembled the watch to control the back of the dial... And nothing was right or stamped on it ! So....? i asked to the biggest Japanese collector I know Mr Kenji Abe and he send me this answer :" Nothing was visible on it ! AD dials: Seiko ordered a stock of dials from its supplier. Some had AD on the dial, others didn’t. Maybe they saved money by not including AD. However, it is not unusual and the dial has probably not been changed. Even old models omit AD. So I think it’s original. A good buy!" So... br]The lume's hand match with the lume's dial with the UV lamp .The case back seems matches withe case back considering the state .the watch was serviced & work so well. br] br]

I was in the lead on that auction for several days but figured there would be stronger interest. I topped out at $1600. USD
Glad you got it Bertrand there were other stronger buyers than myself.
That auction had no mention of the 91 case back, just an innocent photo. Only us detectives saw that !

Yes I'm very happy but the battle was bitter 😉 and the auction higher than I thought...every time I saw a 6139-6010 I checked the case back everytime.for the 6139-6000 I think there isn't from January...but we never know 😉😄

The "92" club is growing, you and Nikidasi are the only members of the "91" club (YET !!!!!)

Some of the low serial numbers (the last digits) would probably have leaked into February. I wonder if the 6139 serials followed a similar characteristic to the 62MAS serials. Given the "significantly" larger numbers of February case stampings, and the extremely low numbers of January case stampings, it is as it seems. An extremely uncommon early piece.
