It appears all the Seiko is off of Chino's site....
Have they stopped selling Seiko?

Back in the day, Chino was one of the three Japanese based resellers along with Seiya and Higuchi. Funny, we don't hear about those folks much any more either.

The Hispanic girls in my office call Chinese food "Chino."
"We're ordering Chino, anyone want?"

I used to check their sites all the time. I got my Blumo from Higuchi but their site is so odd now.

I might be able to shed a little light on this. There is a reason the website for international sales of Seiko has disappeared and now seems to be clearing out existing stock of Citizen and Casio. Last month SWC (Seiko Watch Corp. the sales and marketing company for Seiko as we think of it) purchased the watch retail portion of Chino Watch. This was primarily for their 6 retail locations around Japan. In October SWC will finalize the deal and Chino Watch stores will be wholly owned subsidiaries of SWC. This deal would have been for their store locations as it is likely easier to purchase an established dealer and retail network like this instead of having to find real estate and start from the ground up. It will be interesting to see what SWC does with the locations, maybe a new Prospex boutique in Shibuya would be fun to see. The official press announcement about this can be seen here: Notice Concerning Acquisition of Watch Business of Chino Watch Store

Meanwhile in the USA Seiko abruptly closed all of their "Factory Outlet Stores" about 6 months ago maybe even a bit further back.
Not that we collectors ever found the stores more than a novelty with the occasional strong discount and new model on display. However they wanted no part of running a retail channel.
Interesting.
