After finding the Yema yesterday at thrift store it reminded me- there are some really well finished quartz movements that are pleasure to look at. I can think of a few movements- some are finished beautifully and others may not be aesthetically refined but are an example of amazing technical engineering and production. I’m going to start with the Seiko 7a- this is a Yema example so it’s the V905 by Shimauchi.

I have a vintage Tudor with the Tudor 955.111 which is an upjweled Omega 1532 which is an up jeweled ETA 255.111. You still with me?

Aren't the 955 and 255 different sizes? Nope I guess that was too broad a question. It appears that there are various sizes in both the 955 and 255 caliber lines. Looks like the .111 defines them both as 11.5 ligne.

I’ve got an Omega with the 1430 movement. Think it equates to an ETA 255:411 movement. Very thin for its 1980ish time frame
