You wouldn't want to wear a 40k Patek, ever, right? So it's a better investment. Thank you all for the input. LOL. Its definetely not anywhere near a 40k Patek but it wasn't so much the value I'd be looking to protect as much as the condition the watch came in. Its just the feeling of wearing a 50 year old watch that came in pristine condition and accidentally dinging it up or scratching it. I have more valuable watches that I have no problem wearing on the daily but for some reason this particular watch seems different. In the end I think you guys are right, its a watch and it should be worn. I have used cape cod to polish other things not watch related, any of you folks try that on watches? Not that I'll be using it on this watch but just out of curiosity. Carlos

I was watching this one sell, but it went out of my range Definitely digging the darkening around the edge of the dial, never seen another one do that.

It did go for a little more than i was expecting but the brownish sunburst dial and the case lines are definitely what sold me on it. I think I paid around $800USD which is a lot more than what these normally go for but condition was key on this one. I think the brown dial came from the case it was stored in. Apparently it was in a vault for the last 30+years and the inner box is brown. I think that may have seeped into the watch.
