No coke for me but modern. One of their cheapest options, if not maybe *the* cheapest option, but a little cracker as an entry level mechanical imho.

Picked up this 7025-8099 variant of the "Poor Man's 62MAS" a while back. Not sure if I've ever shown it here. A bit wabi'd but sometimes it works for me and this one does. Much less wabi'd in real life the camera really makes it look a lot more worn out and sad.

My favorite reference, color and most comfortable on my wrist. All original 6139-6011 Proof/Resist from March 1970 on an Uncle Seiko railroad bracelet. Just back from servicing by our very own resident magician, Guy. It was an $85 non runner that I posted here a while back. With his nimble gifted hands, he returned this to me. Note the halo patina effect on the sub dial. In the sun itβs beautiful. I love this electric royal blue. Today is also my folks 55th wedding anniversary. I bought them a new Cuisinart coffee maker π They drink a ton and the old one has seen better days. I thought an appropriate functional gift while stuck inside.

I did read that the 'proof' dials were the earlier versions which is why I went for this one. SN is 1970.

Thank you for taking note and letting me know π

7009- 4040 Itβs difficult to capture the subtle graphite-grey sunburst effect on this dial. Attachments:
