Got two titanium Casios recently for pennies. New movements installed and scavanged crowns from scrap I have. These are going to be my beaters! Other one was missing an end link for the clasp so I ghetto fixed it. Pro tip: ballpoint pen inktube plastic housings makes perfect spacers.

Do you know him?? Just wondering. Nice watch! Thanks. No I don’t know him. I have a large military watch collection including Vietnam era watches like pictured. I was struck by the photo given his youth hauling that M60 through the jungle fighting in a war that he was probably drafted into during the Civil Rights movement. I think it’s an amazing capture that made me think

My Brother in Law carried ... That Weapon in Vietnam for Four Years he said. The thing that astonished me about it was ........ The U.S. Military always issued it to out to guys that were kind off short and small. He was only .... 5'7" Mexican Soldier and he said it was so uncomfortable to carry everyday but it sure could spit out some ammo. He was always placed up front on Patrols and it caused much damage too.

The past photos you've posted were mostly groups. This one just seemed more personal. Your thoughts of it are personal....good stuff!

Your thoughts of it are personal....good stuff! No, not that old! Born in '73. My father is old enough. He just turned 80 abut his classmates were being drafted back then so he joined the NJ National Guard and served a number of years including during the riots in Newark where he was sent out of the local armory. Not like it was combat in the jungle but he was shot at in the home streets where he grew up. Pretty surreal.
