Am looking for an alternative to the Monster Hour hand that Seiko have decided to stick on a bunch of their sports divers. I know the monster hand has been likely discussed before but I’m looking to find an alternative that matches more to the original samurai design whilst also keeping to the bluish lume of the dial. I am thinking the sumo is likely a better alternative but keen to hear what others think along with availability of said hand.

FYI, all the 1st Gen hands have green lume, not blue.

Keep in mind that the original hour and minute hands do not have a "tail" or stick out past the center post like the Sumo hands you pictured do.
You may have to replace both hands if having one hang over and one not bothers you.

Perhaps the hands from a SPB 083 might work?

Perhaps the hands from a SPB 083 might work? He's looking for bluish lume, though, which is gonna be tough...

russtmurray I considered that hand. It might sound weird but I don’t like how non specific the monster hand looks especially at night. It could be 1 aM or maybe it’s 2 kinda scenario. With blade style hands it’s much more obvious. marchoftime it’s not blue blue but it is definite more blue than the original monster green.
I hadn’t considered the tail. I might see what yobokies has. He may be able to match the lume. Of note the minute hand on the padi is a yellower lume shade. Hard to see on my phone picture.
