Are you having fish and chips with it? I can smell the malted vinegar from here 😆 You know, that's a great idea! Halibut is pretty pricy these days though. It's funny but I recall that for the longest time when a Canadian was travelling in the US and asked for vinegar instead of ketchup as a condiment, they'd be served with malt instead of white vinegar. I don't know if it's a Canadian thing but up here we love vinegar on our fries

I love malt vinegar on my Fish & Chips - and yes if there is vinegar on the table the fries (wherever we may be) will get a good sloshing. Funny enough in college days (1990s for me) I was accused of being a vinegar arsonist by my roommates. They said I used so much it burnt their eyes.
