That would be great! IME though with the 1964 world timers, there is no date stamp to be found... at least not in that year with that model

More intrigue for those still following this thread... This strange case back (no dial): "Chronograph" And these, "8970"

'Ja - hallo erstmal' is a German beginning for a guy who joins a group of people to introduce himself. Well, it looks like I rather unexpectedly just joined this club (see the what-have-you-coming thread). Because I considered it out of range I didn't pay much attention to this model in the past. Catching up I am getting more and more confused about the condition this particular one is in and I am beginning to understand that I might have found a real gem. (There is a German saying: 'Die dümmsten Bauern haben die dicksten Kartoffeln' - I leave it to you to find out what it means) First thing I found out (after buying it): It's not just a monopusher. It's a 45899 - not a 5719-something. It says so on the dial and on the back. So it's the real thing with torch and everything. Good. But there must be something wrong. There must be. Please let me know if you spot something. Actually I was thinking of asking in the Feiko thread, but this seems to be the better place. The back is heavily worn but still readable - and looks to me 100% correct. SN 48... makes sense as well. The back is fine. Looking at the many pictures out there I noticed that almost all of them have bad or repainted lume. No wonder after 60 years. Mine does not by the looks of the seller's pictures.?? Can it be? AM hands? Fake dial? This is the most detailed image I could find: Can a lumed dial look like this after 60 years? There must be something wrong. The bezel I believe is made of plastics. Like the back it looks like it is 60 years old. I quite like it. It ages much better than the painted diver bezels. Still can't believe it...

These white marks are acid etching from the flux/acid used in the process of fitting the fixed indices, the flux was applied with a brush.
