Hello Guys….
Anybody have experience with this bracelet? I’m considering putting it on a big Seiko shrouded diver but am concerned the taper to 16 (which ordinarily I prefer) will make it in this case too too heavy.
Plz let me know if you’ve given this a try.
Thank you.

I had an US Z199 on my SRP Turtle and felt it was too much watch for it. I popped the clasp a few times and that was the final straw. I will say, the end links for both style watches fit perfectly. I did the only sensible thing and put it on a 7548 where it is doing it's job perfectly and have not popped the clasp on that watch. I tend to be more gentle with the old guy and don't hold back when wearing the SRP. Just one man's opinion.

One thing about the OEM Z199 and of course the wonderfully accurate Uncle Seiko version, the links are thin in cross-section. So the choice of Z199 to me is limited to the slim case (6309-7290, 7548s, some 7C43s, SKXs, etc.) for the aesthetics alone. I wouldn't stress the 16mm taper myself if the links were heavy and thick to match up with a sizable watch head to my eyes. Fun fact: the Uncle Seiko Z199 was patterned after a full length OEM from my collection

Havent tried the straight end link version, but it fits very very well on my 6309 turtle. Havent had any issues myself with it popping open yet either, but YMMV
Definitely give it a post though if you go for it too, I had been thinking it would be a good fit for a tuna myself

The Z199 is my personal favorite of all the US bracelets I have (BoR, their oyster, a couple of others). Wore mine for a couple years on my SRPA21 and 6309 and enjoyed in until I broke the clasp
