It is October 26th (somewhere) Day 26 of the October WRUW daily theme. Today's theme is “Wear a watch that doesn’t have a round case”
By now I hope some of you have picked up on that I hate digital watches.
Every one of them has a NOT ROUND case (except for a few from the late 1970's in the early days and now the cheap knock off smarty phone compatible watches)
If you want to wear a digital find a round one.
Jus' Sayin'
You want to take the grand prize we can shut it down now if you wear a Franck Muller (self proclaimed Master of Complications) Crazy Hours or Totally Crazy with the crazy date complication or better yet Crazy Tourbillon.
Just like "magic" I figured out the "Crazy" but since I am not a watchmaker not the "How To" of it.
My local watchmaster owes me 1 more watch that I have been holding onto for the last 5 or more years waiting for the right project or watch since his prices went up which are on par with the quality but above my pay grade.
Maybe I can convince him to build me a 7S26 Crazy Hours watch

If it’s a digital make sure it’s round you say? Actually I’m going to wear this one today. So I managed to hit two of the three goals (I don’t have a Frank Mueller).

This 7019-5000 nails the brief.

Fof some reason the world times get messed up after a while (I have set them 3 times and now I don't even bother). Current time and calendar have been correct all this time. I have no idea what is going on. Also, this has to be the most complicated watch to operate known to man (you'll access different functions based on where the seconds counter is located). On top of world time, there is stop watch, counter and memory, but I'm not even going to bother with the other functions as they are so hard to access. Still, it's a stunner!

A recent acquisition, well it was marked down by 50% . Although I'm not a fan of the Presage name on the dial, it's still lovely to wear.
This photo from the day i bought it.. And an interesting size comparison.

Ok so the dial is round, but the case certainly isn't. I've been making slow progress on this one - gaskets then a crystal. I still have to sort out the 1/10 second hand, which sticks. Does anyone, by any chance have a busted plastic pusher cover for one of these that I could measure up to develop a 3D print file?

Orient Fineness. Setting the day and date is a pain with this one.

An unexplained gap in my collection.
I don't know why, I like square watches very much! Here's the best I can do, the Citizen Ana-Digi Temp C3PO tribute along with my rectangular Seiko 4PC-456 wall clock tempelkim and I enjoy. Funny enough I almost donned my ComuChron LED watch as well!

Day 26 “Wear A NOT Round Watch” I wonder if they teach grammar in the public schools on the North Side? That title just sounds painful. I think it was back about 5 years ago I had the idea that I would start chasing Seiko 7009’s. Realizing that there would be hundreds, I then narrowed the collection to those made for the North American Continent, basically anything ending in 7009-xxx9 was fair game. I need to go back and follow through with rewriting a post I had done that was lost during a Cyber Hostage Attack on our PC’s at work. (I know I should have backed up). Along the way of searching for the next watch for the collection I did happen to stumble on 7009’s that were rather unique, that weren’t necessarily NA versions. In fact, vey few could be found for the NA market, most are World except “0”. There was a World-time, a Sport Model that had a fixed Dive Bezel, as well as some unique cased versions. This happens to be one of them; I picked up sometime ago, and it keeps good time, but I need to sort out the stem/crown, as there is a bit of a bend, that doesn’t allow the day change, with a push. The bracelet on this is very tight while the crystal shows some scratches it doesn’t look like it was worn too often. This example came from a seller in Ohio. Most offered for sale do come from Patel’s workshop, with horrendous dials, that are appealing in a freakish sort of way. Though I have seen them from sellers elsewhere. Mostly Middle East. Guessing another Grey Market from the 80’s-90’s. This is in the box to be worked on, but is on the wrist for a while today…That day being off, will bother me in a while, and I’m bound to switch it out…Figure I'm pulling the trigger on a new US machine to star cleaning up some of these cases/bracelets as well. Happy Hump day everyone. Wonky stem!

Today's Seiko golf tip of the day: for a ball sitting up in the sand, open your club face to the target line to take full advantage of the club's rounded sole. Today's watch is a blued tonneau cased Pulsar chrono. I also have a black dialed one which is the same as the one that I gave away in a previous years Anniversary Contest.
And this ones for Jon. My hair didn't feather out as much as usual this morning form some reason on the 70MPH blow dry ride into work.

I’ve not many non-round analog watches to choose from. Here’s one I acquired from India, just to see what $25 could get me. I actually like the looks, but I suspect it is a redial.
