Hi all, I searched WS for anyone with the Citizen Titanium diver that was released earlier this year with no luck. So here goes.
This is the NB6021-68L. I was originally going to save some money with the black and rubber strap version NB6021-17E although it had sold out.
This watch can be referred to challenge diver, barnacle diver or fujitsubo all in reference to the barnacle encrusted diver found of Long Reef beach that I used to surf at when I was growing up incidentally.

The watch is titanium and really light but not too light to forget your wearing it.
It measures about 42mm across including the crown and is only about 12mm tall which is big enough bout not obtrusive. I’m glad I got the bracelet version as it gives me options.
I was a little skeptical initially as I don’t usually spend this kind of coin
But I’m really glad I did.
I have been admiring many of your SPB’s and SLA’s of the Seiko variety for its size, form and classic look.
There have been a few comparisons between these two watches.
So down to what I love about it.
1- the titanium gives it a unique brushed metal appearance, it’s light and hard waring. Most of my watches are subject to knocks.
2- The size fits really comfortably on my wrist.
3- The movement is an antimagnetic 9 series hacking, hand wind/automatic. I am incredibly impressed with its accuracy. At 8 seconds gain in over 72 hrs of constant ware since it arrived on Tuesday.
4- the blue. I was hesitant for the blue but the bezel, and silver hour markers contrast nicely.
5- the sapphire crystal and tapered crystal edge. I scratch my watches and this feature is of great importance to me. The crystal taper also accents the hour markers that give the watch dial more depth.
6-the bezel. Some reviews complain about the precision of the 60 click bezel compared to 120. There have also been some on the weight of the bezel in comparison to the SPB. For anyone who uses bezels underwater and in a rush, the easier and lighter a bezel is to use, the more likely you will utilize it.
Final thoughts: I grew up with the Northern Beaches of Sydney being my weekend go to.
I love that a diver that is well made, insanely accurate, affordable and looks and wears so well has a story that Citizen acknowledges. They have incorporated in their marketing and design.
Add to that the strap made by tritto from thin kangaroo leather adds to the heritage of the watch and is sooo comfortable. (67 grams in total and 103grams on bracelet)
