You weren't here when a guy joined to rant on and on about how his "Professional Dive watch was ruined" because when he sent his Citizen in foe service they swapped the heavier rotor the watch was designed with and use a lighter "Standard" rotor, making it now unsafe for a saturation diver...in fact now making the watch almost worthless. Figured he would try and disparage me a bit with some low brow wit and all. See the link I posted, the dude was truly a winner.

Sadly I don't seem to have a match dapellegrini and I'm out of time to do a deeper dive. Try these:
9.5mm hour hand A58-29252 (white with lume) 9.5mm hour hand A58-29354 (black with lume)
12.0mm minute hand A58-29182 (white with lume) 12.0mm minute hand A58-29192 (black with lume)
No luck on the sweeper, I'm having to look around for a single 青 character (I think/hope) and so far no luck on any hand shape. Of course I know the exist, my Superbeat 8 has a blue sweeper too

No luck for me with those. It looks like the seconds hands start with 518-, the Hour/Minute sets start with A58-

What I find odd is that 52 is not listed as a caliber, and depending on the year they came with different calibers. I have one watch that has 52 but also 72 calibers. Anyway I took picture of what I think would match your sweep hands. And no mention of colors Beyond white, black, silver or orange.

Thank you... I didn't think it was so complicated to be able to trace the Citizen codes... but we don't have absolute certainty...

...Evildani I would exclude the codes of the 3rd photograph... the spheres recall the shape of the bullhead... regarding for example the internal rotating bezel... is something mentioned... or nothing?

inboost or evildani or anyone else; are casing guides, parts lists, etc for Citizen available online? It has been a very frustrating search so far, especially compared to the wealth of Seiko documentation out there.

inboost or evildani or anyone else; are casing guides, parts lists, etc for Citizen available online? It has been a very frustrating search so far, especially compared to the wealth of Seiko documentation out there. I have never seen it online. I had to buy like 6 or 7 service manual to have a modest list to find from. Mine go from late 60s to early 70s so there are a lot of missing models. And it’s hundreds of pages, as far as I can tell you since Citizen had a lot of calibers in a given year and changed the models per year. So a early 70s crown on a specific model might have another code on a later late 70s model that might seem the same but not not the same. On many citizen crowns the gasket was inside the crown so on a normal service the crown was replaced normally. I have been working on both Citizen and Seikos lately and from a service perspective Seiko is orders of magnitude easier. But oh I love my Citizens…. What are you looking for?

The only online reference I have found are the Jules Borel database (substitute 4- as a prefix to any case number for it to be successful) or the Boley.de case database (sometimes the 4- trick is helpful here too)
Like evildani I have built a paper library consisting of hauling ancient hard to find binders out of Japan and paying dearly for the freight and the material. Aggravatingly it's still not enough. For example, the Citizen parts lists for cases never have bezels, bezel springs, bezel friction gaskets, or inserts listed. I suspect there is a book for them or they just came as a complete replacement case. The hand sections of the Citizen books are terrible. It's not specific to caliber or case and you have to go hunting based on shape, color, and hand length which is a bit arbitrary in most cases.
I suspect in the 1980s a lot of this probably transitioned to Microfiche like Seiko did. I have thousands of pages of Seiko data on microfiche and not a single slide from Citizen. I hope some day to happen on some but so far I've seen nothing even suggesting it existed.
I feel like Citizen was more of a closed distributorship on major repair work while Seiko encouraged dealers to do service work locally. This explains the sever lack of information. Casio is much the same.
Colored binders on the top shelf are Citizen and mostly service guides. The right quarter are parts books.
The next two lower shelves are 100% Seiko
The bottom shelf visible has three binders of Seiko Microfiche along with others. Not seen are two more shoe-boxes full of Seiko / Pulsar / Lorex microfiche.

inboostAtleast Citizen crystals come with a gasket. That's why I like ordering them! Not sure if this applies to every single crystal, but so far it has been like this. Another place where you can find some Citizen part catalog is from CousinsUK website (thanks to leffemonster who posted a link some time ago): www.cousinsuk.com/document/search?SearchString=CitizenSome of them are just service manuals without parts, but some of them have parts listed aswell (check 8940/8941 for example).

trilo, sadly not the same case for me. Perhaps this only pertains to a certain style of crystal? Many Citizen crystals have a metal ring bonded to them while others are only glass and of course the remaining are acrylic. I have a large bag of unsorted acrylic Citizen crystals and I don't believe any of those have gaskets included even though they are in factory sealed bags, but these are mostly friction fit so that makes sense. I don't have very many glass crystals in sealed factory bags so I can't offer much for data points there. Perhaps it was an option to have them supplied with or without? I agree it's absolutely fantastic when they come with one!

Crystal for my brown Crystron came with a gasket just couple of days ago (SK crystal not OEM, which might explain why they come with a gasket). Has anyone else had problems installing these? I couldn't get it in with the new gasket, so I just pressed it in with the old. Not my first time having problems with these. I suspect that the gasket they ship is too thick (perhaps just a generic and not designed for the case). I also have had a hard time trying to align these for the press as the crystal doesn't seat properly on the gasket before pressing and when pressed, it goes in only from its other edge.

I have had the same issue as you with aftermarket crystals for my Citizen 8110a. Keep in mind that the NOS crystals in some cases are nearly impossible to find. I echo your comment that the AM gasket is thicker than the original.

I echo your comment that the AM gasket is thicker than the original. Indeed. This crystal was meant for the model in question and the package has the Citizen crystal code written on it, but still, it's not an original (doesn't come in a Citizen wrapper/bag). There are also minor differencies to the original, like the shape and polish of the bewel (original is symmetric and the top side bewel is polished). Glad to hear I'm not alone!
