Is every current watch in Seiko’s Peospex lineup some form of “recreation”?
I think history will look back on this era as the most creative-less era in watch design.

I believe so. Since the Monster and Samurai at the beginning of this century, can't think of anything truly original since.
The Seiko Bottlecap is a nice mash up, and quite quirky different. But, it's from the '5' line.

Not sure which model you are referring to as "bottlecap" because whenever I hear that reference, I think of the SRPC39K1 also referred to as the "mini-turtle" which is from the Prospex line.

Bottlecap is not the mini-turtle. BTW the MT classifies as an original design in my book. Fairly recent addition too. Collectors refer to the bottlecap as the SRPC61 and it's variants. It has a nice Tuna influence.

Reckon I jumped to a conclusion a tad That 5 is lovely and I can definitely see that bottle cap design although I would still maintain that the "mini-turtle" does have a bottle cap bezel and is not necessarily a re-issue of a previous design.
