Work commitments mean the WT2 isn’t travelling far today. Lunchtime meeting just about to start.

Is that a G-force meter? What is that thing? It's cool looking but I have no idea what it does.

In the picture it's 09:25, just focus on the orange hash marks. The rest is superfluous design (just ask tempelkim ). The hour hand is the speedometer from some high model Opel V6 and the minute hand is the tachometer from the same dash cluster. At the four main position (12/3/6/9) we have symbols from the instrument cluster like the seat-belt sign, an ABS warning, an Airbag warning, and a traction control warning. It's a pretty neat design, the watch 'module' pops out of the case and could be popped into another case. It's a little small at 36mm diameter but it's a fun 'off the normal path' kind of watch to wear even if it takes a minute to determine (ahem, estimate) the time.

I hate seeing pictures of watches with feet in the background so, I couldn't agree more Fergus but seriously how on earth did you come by imperial tape measures in Old Blighty?

I hate seeing pictures of watches with feet in the background so, I couldn't agree more Fergus but seriously how on earth did you come by imperial tape measures in Old Blighty? We was English way before Greek even though they raided us once. I might still have one that's just English. 'er indoors is making a new canopy for one of our patio bumbershoots so I have loaned 'er a 48" Rabone rule. While cleaning it I found an gubment arrow mark alongside which was a date 1953....spooky what, my birth year. So I do not own a birth year watch but I do own a birth year rule I suppose you could say that's the measure of a man.

I just figured all of those imperial unit marked items would have been purged by now, especially in something as modern as a tape measure in a plastic housing. The Rabone rule - I believe that's a fold up wooden ruler with brass hinges? My Grandfather gave me one when I was a boy. I wonder if I still have it stashed away somewhere - I haven't seen it decades so not likely. Very cool that you've got a birth year ruler @fergus! Techincally if you folded it correctly and pointed it North it could be a birth year sundial too!

This one goes out to Rob aka ScubaRob99 scubarob99 Seaside Heights boardwalk during biking hours. SRPK17 on the factory bracelet - I like this bracelet a lot. It looks the part and is super smooth on the underside. Very comfortable on my wrist.

C'mon now you simply MUST explain the watch and how it is read. Totally alien concept to me after all these WIS years. Like the VDO theme if you know what I mean.

dapellegrini Here is the prize watch you sent me. Thank you! Story of this watch continues with my little brother who s a musician and who has helped me in my life. When I first saw you posting this watch, I thought it would be a nice gift to my brother. It became a reality. This is him wearing it:
