I tried. I tried really hard. Sadly I just can't save this guy.
After getting the crystal oscillator back on line this poor fellow finally had a heartbeat after who knows how many years. I was so excited to have gotten it 'ticking' again, but I was very sad to see that most of the LCD was dysfunctional in one way or another. After many hours of testing it was clear what was wrong. the circuit path has been lost in the layers of the ceramic PCB for a full quadrant of the LCD control.
Anyone with Casiotron S-14 service history can probably tell you how delicate and finicky the board is to work with. They are terribly hard to solder to as the ceramic wicks all the heat away from the solder pads as you try and work the connection. I may have been the one who finished off those intra-layer connections as I can tell they have a transfer point somewhere close to the crystal trimmer which I had to replace (which later broke).

Just passing by this time (it was around closing time so not so much ppl). all main attractions had huge cues given the holiday season. The only thing reasonable in terms of waiting time was Dome of Invalides (Napoleon’s tomb)

Have you considered conductive wire paste/glue. Wouldn't need heat. Not worked on these though.

Sadly the broken connections are not exposed to apply such methods. Those seven pads disappear into the ceramic substrate and don't surface again until they are within the vault of the microprocessor.
