After a busy week I have little time for tinkering over the next few days because we are grandson minding. Just managed to check out my current 6139 jewelling to ensure all is well. The jewels are good, a new GR25341X mainspring fitted into the barrel and everything aligns.

On my wrist today is a FS-4300 Arkitekt. It was a Father's Day present aboot 10 years ago.
This product line were Fossil's first foray into "jewelry quality" watches; bespoke bracelet and crystal in sandwich-body construction, and polished forged links with a brushed accent line down the center. The only sheetmetal on the whole thing is the butterfly clasp; I feel this is an acceptable compromise given how silky smooth everything else is.
The face has a two-tone degrade outer dial with corduroy pattern inset and 6-o'clock subdial second hand, snap-back case rated 50m (woohoo!) and they even splurged for the 2-jewel Ronda 1069 movement.
Shown alongside this weekend's workbench misery; battery replacement in a 5th-Gen iPud Nano. These are widely regarded as one of the most difficult Apple products to service; I put this one off until battery life got so bad it wouldn't even work while plugged into the bedroom radio. Sadly, also one of the best-sounding ones they made as well, so there is motivation to at least try and save it.
mnem please pray for my sanity...

@cd_god: I've owned a couple each of the El Dorado/Toronado/Riviera based on this big-block FWD platform. Oh, and a GMC motorhome. Driving any of them is a mixed bag; they all handle like a pregnant hippo (still better than any of the 60-70s Mustangs, amazingly), but the ride is like going down the road in your living room. In your favorite recliner. They're a long-leggedy beastie that will pass pretty much anything but a gas station. mnem bigger. faster. louder. All the good things in life.

I need to find the time to fix this Casio DBC61 up! Citizen Diver looks on smugly, it's already serviced.

IMO it would be very difficult to fake a patina like that! I imagine someone who works under sinks or in tight spaces with their hands wore that bezel in without any hesitation over many years

Took a load to the dump today as the kitchen remodel project resumes for one last push, with the island being all that remains. So the beater is on the wrist for the weekend. Enjoying a sunset after a very warm day in So Cal. Watching the dogs play.

Is that a 6 foot tall bullet proof glass fence on top of a 3 foot concrete / brick lower fence?

Lol! It is heavy glass but it’s because on the other side and down the hill is an interstate highway. Can’t say it’s bullet proof, but maybe bullet resistant because it was built after 1970!

I took a quick scroll through your adventure with that one... reminds me of my first Mustang, a '65 notchback that had the dreaded cowl vent leak; required firewall/vent rebuild, both front floorboards/seat channels replaced as well as a ghetto-fab-repaired rearend damage that required trunk-floor replacement and of course rocker panels. Started out with Swiss cheese floors, turned into a literal Flintstone-mobile, then into a real car again. Aboot 120 hours reconstructive surgery in that one, before final prep/spraying paint. mnem Well done!!!

It looks like we can see the watch two more times and the sun as well. that's quite a trick photograph! Best of luck on the end game in the kitchen, arguably the most disruptive room in a house to take off line. Hope the island turns out just the way you want it!
