SOTC 2023 - an almost end of the year update

Okay, so the year ain’t over yet but I honestly don’t envision any changes by year's end, save perhaps for selling a few watches. To be honest, it’s the selling part that’s more of a pain than a necessity but I just can’t keep buying more watch boxes! There have been a couple of “firsts” for me including the purchase of a long coveted watch; a straight up trade and pre-ordering a watch for delivery next year. For reference purposes, those pictures with a red check mark are new additions for 2023.

So have I learned anything? Well, I’ll try not to use the term “grail” any more since I don’t think there’s one watch that would supplant all the others in the collection but suffice to say, I’m thrilled to have finally landed an Omega SMP 2254. One other thing, acting on impulse ain't always a good idea

Wow.  Great set there.  Except the WEISS LA dial... you should sell that one off for sure . and you know who to ping in that case

Hah, thanks big guy! Now about that Weiss.....I can't believe how much more expensive they've become. I think I paid between $950 to $1050 for mine back in 2018 if I recall. I just visited the web site and wholly smokin' bananas they're around $2700 and not only that, the 6 got eaten! Will keep ya in mind should I want to part with it but would hate to see you turn blue holding yer breath She's a keeper..

Great to see the SKXA35 and the other SKX family members!   Like Dan I always enjoy your Oris pick-ups and that Hammie Panda - Marone!

Like your pic above, I like a vintage Willard on a bracelet at least one of them anyway.

Selling is a gigantic pain in the backside but I must say it is liberating when you free up space in the watch box - for a new arrival !!!

Keep on keepin' on I always enjoy your WRUW posts and the big end of year STOC.

Thank you sir and you're quite right about that liberating feel when you sell one. That said, here's a bit of an update
