So how about appraising this most interesting 6205? Let me add it is not for sale it is just one that I have little ability to place a value on. The case back indicates 20 microns gold electroplated case. Look at how it cleaned up no brassing or corrosion or patina. That gold can hold. It features a very rare dial code ending in "T ED" . I've never seen another "T ED" dial code and this code isn't included in any list of dial codes I can find, so that's rare right there. This 20 micron plating must include those hands and applied dial markers too. Just look at how those 57 year old hour markers still shine with absolutely no patina at all! Same with the hand set. The dial has that 6217-8001 "62MAS" shimmering brown/grey treatment and made in the same period of time as 62MAS production. (At least I think 73 means March 1967, because while early models made in July 1963 might have used that convention before the switch and it is a 7 digit serial, but the case being marked 6205-8920 and not a J numbered model I'm thinking March 1967.) So is this just another run-of-the-mill old dateless 620X? A day-less 6206 of little interest? Could this be nothing but a $75 old unloved relic, or maybe could it be something special and collectible ? I love it regardless but would be great to get your feedback !!
