Yes. JDM 6030’s weren’t seen until Jan ‘70 I believe. This bracelet was also used on 6031 and 6032’s.

Thank you. Yes a Feb 70 notched proof proof.
Now to either find a few links or fork out for an Uncle Strap.

Holy moly what a pristine example that is!
Even with an explanation, I'm still confused about how to use that rotating ring! But I guess if I had to use it regularly, as a race car driver would, I suppose I'd figure it out.

Beautiful example although I've never seen this model with red sweep + sub dial hands. Usually they are orange or yellow or an orange sweep with yellow sub dial hand.

Fergus Don these are the early "folded" JDM end links, meaning that aside from the XAA301 it also dates it to the earlier manufacture.
All around a spectacular pick-up !
Agreed the red + red chrono is unusual but with regards to this model and others (Sunrise teal 6139-6002, etc.) the variations are explained in the SpeedTimer book by Sadao Ryugo - many combos are all legit
scubarob99 being a -6030 means it came with a 6139A movement meaning it came with a 2-pc sweep hand. All is good if not a bit unusual.

Gorgeous Don !
My 6139-6031, the -6031 meaning non-notched case with 6139A) says hi
It's a double yellow model Being a 1-pc hand it would be a service hand. I have a spare 2-pc red hand but not interested in fooling with things. Note the box at 60 tachy ring, that is 'wrong' except there was never a coke bezel model made in the late 70's - it was an NOS OEM legit bezel that must have been made by Seiko in the late 70s as a spare part. I really dig that even if it's somehow not 'correct', I bought it from Acidstain and it is clearly fully legit so it adds to the 'story' in my view.

The hands and inner bezel markings look red, and the sub dial is as white as I have ever seen + no deterioration around the edge. Perhaps they all looked like this before they were exposed to sunlight?

The hand colour was one aspect I did not go into in depth before committing. I was more interested in the dial, notched case, and whether all parts functioned. It has genuine DNA in all the right places giving that warm feeling all is/was good. I should open a topic in the Restoration forum now but here's a couple of the A movement which, thankfully, is running well and clean with no mullered screws and no parts wear that I can see.

That’s insane but I’ve bought from them before. Make an offer and they’ll consider it. But I generally don’t offer half of the asking price out of fear for insulting, but in this case, the asking price is pretty insulting already.

I can either use one of my UncleS 6139-600# or buy a US Speedtimer for £70. I will continue to monitor the bay for an affordable original mind.
