Beautiful example although I've never seen this model with red sweep + sub dial hands. Usually they are orange or yellow or an orange sweep with yellow sub dial hand. Did you ever see one with a two piece? Answered my own question. Rainier's example has a two piece Rob On pristine examples of early 6030's I've seen, the S and M chrono hands were orange (they fade to yellow like mine over time) and the S hand is a two-piece. My unexpert opinion is that Fergus' watch had the S and M chrono hands replaced with a 600X red handset. Not to completely hijack this thread Fergus - apologies, but this might help with insight: I had a similar scenario on a 7010 I bought that had 600X S and M chrono hands - they should be orange and were clearly swapped out at some point in its life. I had swapped them out for the correct orange S and M hands during service. You can see the difference in this photo between the S hand shape with the red vs. orange, the red 600X S hand is much thinner throughout.

Here's mine in direct sun - definitely orange with the orange second part of the seconds hand... But the bracelet is US... not original.

Thanks all, still much to learn but more importantly, at 70, REMEMBER ref the 12 - 45 markers, 50 & 55 dots, appear red to my eyes yet when Googling most if not all are orange. The s & m hands are a very close match and suit the markers. They also appear, or at least look, genuine Seiko 6139.
