Back from service, the dreaded date wheel failed replaced with metal wheel, now needs a new case.

The latest addition to my collection is this 0903-7009 from October ‘74. It arrived DOA despite being sold as ‘in good working order’ - turned out the battery had expired in transit. The case gasket was also conspicuous by its absence. A new crystal, fresh battery, new strap and case gasket and we’re all done. This one has a disappointingly all-European trilingual day wheel and, according to my 1970s quartz casing guide, the -7009 appears to be the only 0903 case that doesn’t have a battery hatch - it’s a regular snap-back.

It's warming up, yesterday's high was -31C and today's high will be -25C. Going with something with a summer vibe to speed up the process

rossr - nice collection - yours? Not mine thank goodness. Brother-in-law's. That's not even half of it either. Fun to visit.

I had to dig this one out today to see just how much nicer Fergus 's is by comparison. Sheesh And rossr those are some fantastic cars! Nice watch too My brother-in-law is big into Jags, and has done a lot of racing in vintage open-wheelers. There are others not shown here. The Dino, P4 and GT40 are replicas, but very good ones. If you think it's expensive keeping watches in running condition.........
