I bought a selection of 18 and 19mm straps at a Watch Gecko sale a while ago and they were cheap enough that I added a couple of "experimental" colours for fun. What do you reckon? I'm not sure about this combination. Actually, I am sure. It doesn't work.

tritto, to be honest I think it's actually a decent match.
The Citizen ALDS-2901ɑ again today. Just enjoying it and time trialing it. It's actually on a flat h-link today that on the wrist looks too modern for the 1968 case. Will go back to the Snake brand BOR bracelet tonight.

Finally had some time today to work on the watch I picked up on the weekend. This one had the full spa treatment and with the minute wheel bridge now installed and secured its back in working order. As much as I love the 66 and 6602 handwinders, they can also be a real pain in the arse when it comes to casing up and re-inserting the stem. First time round the clutch got ‘flipped’ so I had to remove the dial again to sort it out. Second time round I moved the keyless works into the ‘set’ position which seemed to make things easier (maybe more by luck than judgement…) Caseback stamped April 1970, dial stamped May 1970. And if those dust particles are on the underside of the crystal, they’ll just have to stay there… Running pretty damn well -

No snow here, but a night and morning of freezing rain. I love the nature in it's ice crust, but you can easily imagine the 20 km to work on country roads, and back... Still with a 7548-700B on my wrist, and the second one in the pocket. The second one stopped after a short time on monday when I opened the parcel. As the battery strap is missing, and the battery isn't hold deep in place each time I open the watch, I cuted a small and thin washer in packaging foam and put it in the case back, to press slightly on the Battery. It seems much better now, the watch didn't stop since yesterday, however it has been shaken in my pocket. I still wait to see if I'll need new crystals for the citizen 150m divers, as the guy having some citizen crystals also remanufactured 7548 battery straps, screw and the small spacing washer.

Geez it is cold here. About 15F/-4C this morning. Not cold by some folks standards, but chilly enough for me.
This Cosmotron is difficult to photograph well, but is a real little gem.
TinkeringFR those are some lovely pics, but that ice ... here that would mean trees coming down and power lines getting knocked out.
tritto yeah, I agree. That strap would probably look better on a different watch.

It seems to have grown on me. The VW's new clutch concentric slave cylinder seems to be behaving.

SHIT SHOW
The mechanic shows up with COVID
#1 tells him to keep working cuz we are busy because of the snowstorms last week.
Then yesterday we find out that #1 and #2 both decide to go on separate vacations for a week starting tomorrow and didn't bother to tell each other or anyone else so now there will only be 3 people working in the entire store when we are busier than we have been in a year

After 80 hrs of non stop wrist observation, nothing to report. Error remains - / + 0 sec / day! Serdal.
