The 7625-8033 landed the other day and is running some pretty decent figures, so it only needed a new crystal and boots.

Tough to capture the birch-like dial pattern of this Crystron. I sometimes forget that Citizen was really good at dials as well.
cd_god I leave whistle pigs alone and they leave me alone - unless I'm at a bar and order rye.

A box easily good enough for human trafficking showed up from Japan last night. Yet another quartz tester for Inboost , this time a Citizen CQT-101 which is running really well right our of the box. I did sneak in a few latecomers to the YJ locker which by happy coincidence ended up being EFA/VFA pieces from both of my favorite brands!
Seiko 3923-5010 Quartz VFA LED Blinker of July 1972
Citizen 4-095839 TA Gold EFA LCD watch of September 1976 (9060A movement)

Dang! You got the Seiko blinker! I've been trying for one of those for a while. The ones I run across are either in lousy shape, overpriced, or I get outbid. You got a nice looking one.

Today is TinkerSon's birthday, he's lucky as a parcel containing two of his new watches just came back from the watchmaker earlier this morning. (The SKX013 in the middle and the small swiss West en Watch Co. military style one). The SKX on the right is for a friend's son. I got some too in the parcel, the 3 SKX on the left side. And of course, I couldn't wait to give one a try today I think I'm going to like this SKX011J, I already had a nice one, but my workmate and good friend liked it so much I sold it to him. Since then I was looking for another nice one. I already had some, never good enough to keep, but I think this one is a keeper...

You got a nice looking one. victor , it is in good shape but the lighting is hiding the damage the big peaked and faceted crystal has accrued of it's years of service. Of course a new one (RE0V13GNS0) seems nowhere to be found at any price. The bracelet is an Italian 'Beverly' piece that has a lot of character and I like it very much on the watch. As we often see, this one was advertised as a non-runner piece of 'junk' and all it needed were two fresh #303s loaded to have it blink back to life.
Interestingly and unknowingly to me, these blink at every step of the sweep hand!

janzamon your photography is always spectacular! I love the composition, scene, and the subject matter of course
Hooray for me! I finished my Seiko 4PC-456 wall clock tonight with only 2 hours to spare. I gave myself a week as my Wife was away and I promised her it would be running again when she came back. I pick her up at the airport at 9:15pm tonight!
All wheels/pivots got new bushings made by yours truly. I had to drill the plates for the bushings as they had holes with superficial oil sinks. Mainsprings were unwound and cleaned / lubricated too (new tool ).
In the middle of that I found I had an out-of spec 1.5mm drill that really put me behind. I should have just tried the other one I had first thing
It's in beat (you bend things to set beat on such a clock ) and the wonky power meter on the chime side is all good now too. Now it's down to regulation. I tried to use my phone for this but the two Timegraphing programs I tried were in total opposition about about was happening. This one will get regulated the old fashion way.
Anyway, I'm stoked! Can you tell?

That is amazingly awesome, inboost! Congratulations! So besides becoming a watchmaker, you're angling to add clockmaker to the list?
