Congrats but how do you regulate a clock or watch without a seconds hand?
I guess you could stop the balance and hold the movement with the minute hand on the minute indice (according to spell check this is not a real word but "Indices" is ) and then let the balance go when your reference source hits 0 seconds.
Having owned enough preowned vintage (read purchased for a very low price) watches which run and stop I refuse not own a watch without a seconds hand cuz if it stops even for a minute you would never know until you are late.
If you want to run over there and fix it for me I'll give the address (but then I'd have to tie up loose ends afterwards since you would know where I live )

cd_god, it's a chiming clock so I use the first strike of the hour as my time signal. These are not super accurate time keepers, but this one does well enough that I'm impressed with it for what it is. I have no idea what to expect now that I'm the one who's worked it over. I have a sneaking suspicion this won't be the end of my repair journey with it.
That's pretty bogus that the Bulova wall clock has two independent movements like that, I guess they were going for a look not a function. Somehow I would expect more of the brand though. I would love to help you with it but need to get back to my projects afterwards. Maybe I can meet you somewhere in the DMZ so I don't blow your cover and therefore get to keep my throat in one piece.
