My 2 year old daughter chose today's watch among the collection. She chose well! A new crown and a stem are in the mail. Her word for a watch is "Kukku"

leffemonster that dial is spectacular! This is my third and final Chrono Master from May 1968. 25 jewels and runs at 18000bph. Price in 1971 was ¥32000

i took this photo yesterday, it's still on...2 years ago this watch was lost in a driveway, i was distracted by hauling stuff into the house, and i had no idea where it was, until all the snow was gone. those abrasions on the bezel insert are only visible to the camera, not to the eye...must've been stepped, or driven on.

Mr. Bell Blendermatic is test piloting the new to me coffin link bracelet. I have another watch in mind for it that requires service before use but has a nearly identical case. I quite like it! Thanks to dapellegrini 's excellent bellmatic research project I can see that a cushion cased Bellmatic was assigned one of these bracelets from the factory so it does look the part!

SKX401 Chinese day wheel makes sense as these were reported to only have been sold in Asia Pacific.

I could have worn this one Sunday, or yesterday for Tuning Fork Tuesday. But the battery didn't get replaced until yesterday afternoon, so.... This model has a handy feature to remind you to take it off the wrist when you go to bed - if you tuck your arm under the pillow, you'll hear a faint high-pitched whine like a mosquito with its wings going at 360 bps.
trilo - I love that one - I call dibs if your daughter ever allows you to sell it!
twhp101 - love that X8 Chrono Master. The first of a really interesting line.

victor - Wow, that Cosmotron looks amazing! I don't understand Citizen in this small group of watches though. I always thought Cosmotron was an electro-mechanical balance and Hisonic was tuning fork drive. They muddied this up for some unknown reason and it irks me to the point I need to buy one to try and train myself to be OK with it. I have a fully serviced Citizen big bezel 'Kukku' ready for trade if you're interested

Whoa. Matthew 16:23. That is some kind of temptation! I'm not ready to release the GX, but I bet we can find something else if we're trading
The GX Cosmotron is an odd one, as it seems like it should be a Hisonic. One theory is that since it uses a single coil, Citizen didn't want to include it in the more upscale Hisonic line, so put it in with the Cosmotron. Since that theory comes from Sweephand, I'd give it credence.
