I was intending to wear my Crystron "Piano Black" today, but when I opened the drawer the resonance from this one humming along was so loud that I realized I had no choice but to wear it.
These tuning fork watches have incredibly smooth sweep hands; no tick tick tick, just a true sweep. The movements in the f300 are based on the same ESA movements designed by Max Hetzel, who also designed the Acutron 214. The humming is loud enough that they're impossible to wear while you sleep, at least if you sleep on your side and stick your arm under the pillow.
If you can't handle the hum don't get a modern Timex.
The TICK is even worse.
I just sleep on my right side, so the watch isn't under my pillow. All good. And no, I'm not going to make any inappropriate comments like inboost did!
For TICK my Elnix is amazing - more a tink-a-tink-a-tink with a faint underlying hum. I almost wore it today. For some reason I don't have any Timex, so don't know what they sound like.
