I haven't worn this in ages. What a great model! It sure is and yours is in fantastic shape. Aside from having a heavily modified version, I never owned one and of the "classics" like the 6309-7040 and the 6105-8110, the 6105-8000 was my least favorite. Fast forward to present day and with the subsequent re-issues such as the white dialed SPB 313 for example, I have a new found appreciation for the 6105-8000.

Inspired by 59yukon01 's turtle, I tested the dal1bp yesterday afternoon on my SRPF13. This will be my friday Viernes friend. Another one leaved home today for Bordeaux...

i appreciate the scale, and the utility of this one, and it's a good exercise not to lose my mind over the effing "X" because it is otherwise perfect.

The 7548-7010 in front of a little mantle clock that followed my Wife home from work where there is a 'yard sale' fund-raising event going on. This Waterbury Clock Company mantle alarm clock was not running as the pendulum suspension and arm were bent up a bit. After some fiddling I had him ticking again, but he's running awfully slow. I'll need to tear it down as the chime train literally sounds like a set of freight cars moments from jumping the track. The alarm function is also jammed up so it will be much happier after I got through it.

Ooops! I bought another Casio... Uuuuh... Which module does it have? If it's 248, congrats. I consider it to be the best digital watch module I have ever come across. Seiko A904 comes close, and it is propably better in terms of build quality and spare parts availability, but Casio 248 functionds desgin, button lay out and signal patterns are simply genius.

I swapped Mako II bracelet onto this Ray II, because I think it looks better (took one link from its original bracelet). It's a nice watch and one out of two automatics in my collection.

Yes, it's calibre 248 in the Casio W-35 from I believe 1983.

I found a link for this bracelet so I can wear it now. But the watch needs some work. As you can see, the dial ring is misaligned. It has a couple of functions not running. But it keeps time and looks nice on the wrist. Happy Friday watch nuts!
