Greetings, Offered for sale is a super minty vintage Seiko 6309-7049 classic diver from August 1981. This is a nearly perfect example of this iconic diver. Case is unpolished and still has 90+% of it's original factory brushed finish. Nice sharp edges, couple of tiny dings to the right edge around 2 o'clock. Crown screws down with 3+ finger rolls, smooth as silk. Bezel clicks firmly, lume pip is mint, bezel condition is about 98%. The knurled edges of the bezel are nice and sharp. Black Suwa dial is mint, as are the hands. No funk or patina on the lume. Hands and dial glow at the same rate. The movement is clean as a whistle, running great and kept near perfect time in the past 24 hours. Service history is unknown though. Crystal is superb, only a few micro marks here and there, no deep scratches. There is a small 1cm round patch of a sort of faint cloudiness in the area over the date window. I thought it was something under the crystal, but I took it apart and it appears to be some sort of manufacturing defect in the glass itself. I couldn't feel or remove it from the inside or outside. You can only see it when the light hits it just right. I have a Swedefreak 1:1 repro that I can install if you want for an additional $25. If I were keeping the watch, I'd leave it as is, so I'll leave it up to the next owner. Seeing as how the watch is so minty fresh and all original, I prefer to leave it that way. Price is $425 OBRO shipped/insured in the US. Overseas buyers welcome, but email me for shipping quote. Tons of refs if you need them, PM me if interested. Cheers, 'stoph
