thanks. Wow! That is some booty surprised-scream-smiley-emoticon Oh yeah the Miyota. The 8215 is the latest and possibly the last incarnation of the 8200 series automatic movements. This is the equivalent of the Seiko 7s26 calibre in terms of robustness, reliability and time keeping. It does have manual winding capability so it's a step up from the 7s26 if you find that feature important. The 8215 seems to be mostly found in dive watches but that may be because Citizen is concentrating on Eco-Drive for most of it's other offerings.

That is a seriously substantial looking watch. It does have a Doxa like resemblance thunbsup.gif

I think you will also find the 8215 in the Citizen Auto Zilla as well. My watchmaker is a Citizen AD here in Perth and he said they are a true work horse and can be regulated to some great numbers. Having had 3 Auto Zilla's in the past I can attest to there longevity and having them regulated to near COSC specs.
Cheers Mark

There is the issue of the indirect seconds hand causing a stuttering in some examples.

There is the issue of the indirect seconds hand causing a stuttering in some examples. It's really only an issue when the movement is serviced by someone who doesn't know what they are doing. The same applies to all indirect seconds movements, Swiss, Japanese, Chinese, German, etc. It isn't just a Miyota thing as many would like us to believe. That's just an old anti Japanese bias :-(

I just recently sold my Citizen Eagle 7 with a Miyota 8200 movement. Kept time well, the rotor wobble was annoying but maybe it was particular to just my one watch, not sure.
