If legitimate, this is the strangest reason I've read for selling a watch on ebay:
..."I received it as a gift and only wore it once because I was always afraid of scratching such a nice watch...it has remained in its original box the entire time I have owned it...you will also be receiving the original box and instruction booklet hidden in the bottom of the box...like I said I love the watch but am too afraid to scratch or break it so I am selling it so someone else can be happy with it...."

THey are out there Norm. People scared to enjoy something because they'll damage it somehow.

Guilty as charged peeps ....... not my advert, but it's the kind of thing I do frequently. There is stuff that I feel I can use - though I still do so with utter caution, then there is stuff I just dare not use.
Not so long ago I sold an SKX009 ...... owned it a year and never wore it. My Rolexes have both been worn once and now have to remain in their boxes, same for my Seiko 5 'Sea Urchin'.........and the list of stuff goes on.
Typically I will hang onto stuff for decades and then have a bit of a clear out - and it's all pretty much as new condition when I do.
It's an illness for sure........perfectionism gone bonkers embarrassed-smiley-face

I sell unwearable watches for this very reason regularly, or at least whenever I get in one that's so nice I don't dare wear it. Make fun of me if you'd like - Tim does, all the time.
