I have a Wenger Avalanche that was given to me years ago as a gift. It came with a two tone gold and stainless band as well as a stainless bezel with gold highlights on it. I love the watch itself, it's nothing fancy... basically a wear anyplace watch, plus it's the only watch I have with a white dial other than an old hand wind Bulova. This is the one... I hate the gold and was able to find an all stainless band on e-bay, but have not been able to find a replacement bezel at all. I've never hunted down a specific watch part like a bezel so I may not even be phrasing my search terms right. Would anyone know where to find one, or know how to remove the gold plating from the one on it? I considered a fine grit sand paper actually, but don't want to disfigure it too bad. Also, I've never removed a bezel, would it look OK without it or just weird? Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Finding parts for these watches may be nearly impossible. Wenger and Victorinox change watch styles about 4 times a year and I doubt the make any spares as they are intended as throw away pieces.
I don't know what the bezel material is but the gold plating is likely quite thin so you could use one of those old ink erasers or even one of those fibreglass pens that are made for refinishing bracelets etc. That way you don't risk damaging the rest of the bezel.

Depending on how much you like the watch and if money is no object if the bezel is SS you can polish off the gold or bead blast it and have the numbers repainted.

The watch is not something I wear all the time, but I do like it. I would consider it a nice beater, lol if it weren't for the gold. I don't have a lot of excess money at the moment, but I would be up to polishing the gold plating off. What would I use to do that? I would even be up for using a really fine grit sand paper. The gold is just a major turn off for me. Thanks.

Just wanted to pop in and say I took the advice from @penguinbce and had my wife pick up an ink eraser from the store today. It seemed the cheapest route to go and it's working well. The gold plating isn't totally gone yet, but it is taking it off with no damage to the areas around it.
Thanks to all that responded, this should be taken care of by tonight. Thanks again!

My eyes aren't the greatest, lol, really need a new prescription for my glasses. It is dulling the gold plating but according to my wife, it's still there. Really thinking of going the fine sandpaper route. Pics if I can ever get my camera to work.
