I was just doing my usual thing on ePray using one of my filters and this thing popped up with a BIN of $12...shipped!
Not hens teeth but pretty close!
The ST7 movement and watch was supposed to be the next gen Sea-Gull that would run down the Swiss and their chronometers.
Unfortunately, this special movement and watch suffered the same fate as the Swiss did when Seiko hit the market with the Astron Quartz watch :-(
Needless to say, the Chinese watch industry was hit just as hard as all the other manufacturing countries.
The ST7 had a very low production run; possibly less than 4000 pieces of all variations which included manual wind, auto, no day/date and date only(perhaps a couple of day/date as well).
So when I saw this one, I hit the BIN so hard that they herd the 'clack' in Hong Kong ;-)
This is a 28 jewel, 28,800bph calibre movement.
The reason it was only $12 is because it the hour hand does not move. Everything else works, including hacking.
I'm pretty sure I can get this one sorted out :-)
