In a drawer we all have a watch or two that we would not even give to our beer mooching brother-in-law. Pics please and a bit of history of how the watches were acquired.

This is one watch I keep because who can I give it to that can appreciate it...or can throw it away instead of me... I went with my brother to a San Antonio Goodwill store and he saw this one and for $3.00 he bought it... it was grimy and was not working. He cleaned it up and installed a bew battery and voilá...I suddenly had a new watch. It says Japan Movmt on the face but I doubt it because it chews up batteries like crazy. I is very exact but it is expensive if you want to keep it working. If anyone wants it for free...I will ship free if you send me the $ for the Post Office, next time I am in the USA. Talk about a negative sale... but it is free for whoever wants it...

I wonder...does it have a reply button? You created this thread on the Buy/Sell/Trade board, that's why you weren't getting responses.

Sure! Here's my #1 unwearable never-to-part-from-me watch. Casio DBC-300. My wife found it at a thrift store. The last of a great line, it is considered by some to be the ultimate data bank / memo watch. It's apparently worth real money, like between $150-200 or more. I found a DBC-150 not long after she gave me this, and I put it up on eBay with 9.99 as an opening bid. It sold for over $100.

And here's the current version of the DBC-150....I like this one too:

Last time I checked, they hadn't made them for years! Did they start again?

Wow, $175? I've got to believe they're NOS. Casio online says they're discontinued. But that's amazing.

Yeah, I got one that my brother gave me years ago...don't think he'd mind if it went missing. Hell it's been AWOL all this time anyway!
