I have a Diver Mako Pepsi and I do not know how Orient manages to make a $125 average price watch with a very smooth second hand that rivals a Rolex/other in accuracy. Are the R dudes just charging for blubber?

Pretty much  When metal meets metal it's pretty much just decoration and/or last minute tweeking that makes the difference and even that does not account for the price chasm between them. |

The "R dudes" are out to get "what the traffic will bear". Of course one might argue that is required of all businesses that want to prosper.  |
