Of my Japanese watches, this is my pride and joy. I consider it the most beautiful diver's watch I have... better than the SKX009, better than the Orient Pepsi Manta... it is my smallish looking Citizen 300m Diver.

Of my Swiss watches... it is my trusty old Datejust that ran true until its heart stopped last year. Now with a RX fixup and an after mkt jubilee... it works like a charm and looks brand new. Am amazed at what identicals cost now, close to 7 grand... I paid, I think $300.00 for it in Coral Gables, FL more than 40 yrs ago.

Thanks Chris :-)
It needs a better chapter ring as the one fitted has a few 'worn' markers, but otherwise it's a super watch. I also find it easier to wear than a 7548 - it's slightly thinner in profile. I also have a very nice example of the pepsi variant too :-)

My Seiko Pride and Joy is my Blue dial Bullhead that Spencer did some beautiful work on. And my my Non Seiko Pride and Joy would have to be my Omega Polprof. Cheers Mark

Both of these because they were my Dad's and they're both cool watches.

Japanese
My "birth" Seiko 6306 that I got off of Ebay many years ago from the original owner in Australia who bought it while on "holiday" for Christmas in Hong Kong with his family. The seller listed it as a 6308 an I emailed him that is was a 6306 and offered him $250 while the bid was at $30. After a few days he told me he would sell it to me as others had offered back door deals as well but were trying to take advantage of him with offers of $75 and $100 and that after he told them he was selling it to me they countered him with more money than I offered but he said he chose me because I made an honest offer to begin with. After payment he told me the story of how he acquired the watch as a teenager.
I don't think I'd ever sell my Alpinist SSASS either as I had wanted one since they came out in 2003 but missed out and passed on an offer of I think $500 NOS with boxes and papers back in 2005. I'm glad mine is beat up so I can actually wear it.
Swiss
My other never sell watch is my Omega Dynamic. I don't know why I ever bought another watch after this one.
American
My Elgin with custom display back and modified / extra jeweled movement from the late 1920's (I didn't write down the serial number and I can't read it through the back but I think the one time I did check it it was from 1927). It had a rare version of the movement in which the stem was the opposite of 95% of the other same movements. It took a long time fixing years of neglect and having to pin this and replace a bushing with a jewel here and a parts watch or 2 and a custom display back using the top case half from a donor watch and a NOS porcelain dial. When I got the watch in a watch lot it was missing the case back and crystal and dirty and not running.
