Better known as "What the hell was I thinking?"
You know the story..."Oh I'll just sell this one, I never wear it"....then the remorse begins.....and continues....and continues.
Here's a few of my sins....ones I hope to correct before too awful long.
1. Ball Storm Chaser PVD...I must have had a fever. 
Check out the "lume" shot (it had tritium tubes)
2. Sinn UX Hydro - This one is on my "wanted list"...but it shouldn't be....because I had one that I bought for a bargain price....and then I foolishly sold it...all I could see was how much profit I could turn if I flipped it....sometimes I question my own sanity.
3. Last...but not least...my Hamilton Khaki "Team Earth"...42mm of joy...I read on some damn watch forum that the crown didn't suit this watch....so of course I said "Oh yeah..." and sold the bastard...the one is probably the most "reachable" for me from a re-acquisition viewpoint...but now that they have been discontinued they're selling for about double of what I paid for mine. ARRGGHH!!
I have made a vow....every time I feel like selling a watch....I make myself wait 30 days...at least 30 days...to give me an adequate amount of time for the "fever" to subside.
OK...let's here the stories of woe from my fellow Wrist Sushi members....I know you're out there....don't be shy...you won't be judged...because we've all done it. |

I have sold a few that I have regretted selling but these 3 in particular I regret VERY much selling........... I sold this one to a Forumer here so at least I know it went to a good home..............  # 2 was this one........ everything on it was MINT except for the bezel but the bezel was by far the best I have ever seen for this model as it had very little next to none brassing........  Lastly was this Scarce, very scarce Zodiac that was my biggest regret in selling......................  |

There are not many watches I regret selling but even though I am not that much into quartz chronographs I sorely miss these three. Great Blue, have not seen one since  7A48  7A38 that I had from new but sold it before I had the ability to service it  |

Hohoho...definately some regrettable losses in this thread already.
I don't have many watch regrets. I don't collect for the sake of collecting so if I don't wear it, it goes on to someone else.
The only regret I have is selling a Spork too early. I bought it new and did not like it. I must have missed the sellers market by a few months because I tried to sell it on the forums and couldn't give it away. I actually sent it back to the store at a loss on restocking fee!

Can't say I regret selling any of my watches. They all went because I knew 100% that I didn't want them and I don't miss any.
I do kick myself for selling my Moonwatch just before the price of them skyrocketed.....but c'est la vie. Would still have sold it, but probably doubled the money I got.

Looking through my pics, there are some I forgot I ever owned... Now that I remember this one, I definitely regret selling it.  I'm not a huge fan of the non Suwa models, but I do regret selling this one off.  Funny thing is, I believe those are the only two I've ever sold... :rofl: |

Looking through my pics, there are some I forgot I ever owned... Not that I remember this one, I definitely regret selling it. I'm not a huge fan of the non Suwa models, but I do regret selling this one off. Funny thing is, I believe those are the only two I've ever sold... :rofl: Where the hell was I when you sold these? I would of snapped these up if offered!! |
