if she were to do this a a personal service then yes I would recommend the procedure Otherwise I would use a pin extractor and a rubber mallet to insert the pin (or the pin extractor to push the pin back in). This method result is the least amount of damage to the sides of the link

For the record...I hate sizing bracelets...especially Seiko's with that "pin and cap" deal.
Is there a problem with screw links for those of us who need simplicity?
