Hello good people of Wrist Sushi! I've joined up here because it seems like this is where many of the experts are. I like vintage Seiko, there's so much variety. I never had anything vintage until a few months ago. I guess I'm known on WUS as the guy who drills SKX lugs, I did some work for one of the members there (good guy! ), in exchange for a 6119-6400. This was the baited hook which reeled me into the amazing world of vintage Seiko. I've since picked up a few more of course. I've been keeping busy lately by fixing them up. Haven't attempted a movement service yet, but I'm building my knowledge and confidence to make the leap. I've had some small success with lapping and refinishing cases, which I enjoy. I'm also on WUS and SCWF, it's good to see some familiar names here. I hope I can contribute something useful!

Steve. I think many here will remember you from other forums and of course your SKX lug drilling. We have a couple of movement servicing threads in the Group Projects section that should be invaluable and enable you to tackle a servicing of your own We would love for you to do a post on your lug drilling experiences. I know there are a couple of folks here who would be interested if you want to undertake more

Thanks penguinbce. I'll definitely check out the group projects section. I'm still gathering tools right now. I'm mainly into 6119's although I also have a 7006 which needs a stem. I also hope to acquire a bellmatic at some point in the near future, so many great designs there. Oh, and a KS too!
I'll try to put together a post on drilling lugs soon. I need to dig up my old photos from when I first started that project. It's not that difficult if you have the right equipment, I'll be glad to advise anyone wanting to give it a go. Thanks for the welcome.

It's been a while since I posted here, been very busy with other projects lately. Full on restoration of early '70s mini dune buggy, frame off complete rebuild of MX bike for my son, and on and on. I do check in here as a lurker every couple of months anyway. I've done a little bit of watch work sporadically in the last year or two. Mostly oddball case work projects that people send me. Planning to get back on some of my watch projects soon, so I hope to be posting again. I have a birth month & year (Sept. '69) 6119-6020 I'm planning to work on, as well as a couple of 7019 sports lined up for some attention. Glad to see many of the familiar names are still here!! Steve
