I hear a lot of complaints about the dial and hands on the new 50th Anniversary Sumo SBDC027, so I thought I'd try some mod ideas. Better? Do you have a dial or hand combination you'd like to see? - Thomas

The second photo looks a lot like my MM300 /sumo mod that I did a few years ago For the record....I think Seiko really screwed up a good thing when they decided to go off the reservation with the new Sumo design.... They did however get the bezel right this time around....should've stopped at that. The new rectangular hour markers and skinny hands just don't work aesthetically in that case design.

Maybe I'm a rube, but given the case (IIRC) is the same as the current Sumo's case, why would anyone want to swap the dial? I get swapping the hands, but both? If you're going to do both, why not start with an original Sumo and save a ton of money?

To get the bezel! A huge upgrade from the original IMO. Now all my Photoshop Phun aside, I would probably keep it stock myself. But I do enjoy playing the "swap master"!! - Thomas

That looks good! Yobokies bezel? I don't mind the dial as much as the hands on the 50th anniversary model. - Thomas
