Hopefully Funkster will reply as he has the best Bellmatic I've seen to date. It's a very early date only dial in black.... num num num nums Mmm ,if its the one i'm thinking of its's a corker and he just beat me to it the utter swine Sorry Jim I've had it in my hand and it most certainly fits the corker level of slobber worthy. I think it's 1968? I believe they started making Bellmatics with the 4006-7000 late 66.

I've had 2 bell's. Got one at the moment in the spare parts draw. Seem to have issues with dial feet breaking away.

Pretty common issue with them. They dial feet on these are a bit anaemic for the size of the movement/weight of the piece. I've had 2 bell's. Got one at the moment in the spare parts draw. Seem to have issues with dial feet breaking away.

This one I got from stoph about a month ago. It has the coffin link chain. Also have the "funky" model with the blue bezel. I don't have any pictures of that one and is being serviced. Bought some parts for it including nos bezel. The crystal I got for it did not fit, so I need to find the correct size.

Apparently it was done by a shop inside a military exchange store in Japan. The seller said that's where his dad served prior to the move back to states.

Hey guys I just picked up my first BellMatic on the crazy cheap advertised "for parts" and it's roached for sure.
The alarm inner rotating bezel only rotates one way - is that normal or just another issue?
Also when I push in the pusher at 2 o'clock the calendar date changes - now that's gotta be a big problem, no?
Trying to figure out if it's worth my time to figure this one out or just punt.

The alarm button press is correct, that's how you quickset the date. As for the bezel only rotating one way is the correct behaviour. If the dial is OK it's worth fixing Hey guys I just picked up my first BellMatic on the crazy cheap advertised "for parts" and it's roached for sure.
