I grabbed this lot over a month ago...slow boat
This is a 6309-836A. The movement will probably respond to a complete service and possibly some parts. It tries to run but doesn't quite make it.
The bracelet may be original and it's big enough for a 7" wrist or maybe even 7.5".
Bezel is stuck but in good shape except for the insert.
The dial has specs all over it but are almost invisible to the naked eye. The hands will clean up nicely and will get a re-lume.
The chapter ring will have to be polished clean as any markings it may have had are long gone.
The case is in fairly good condition and the crystal is more than serviceable.
I don't know if the crown is original but I suspect it is from a dress watch.
This is one of the 6119-6023 Sport 70s.
This one runs but really needs a full service. The inner bezel turns and the stem is all in tact if not filthy.
The case is in pretty good shape with no major dings or scratches.
The dial is in very good condition. There is a lot of dust that will clean off with Rodico and there is only one minir 'scuff that runs through the 'F' in proof heading towards the 5 o'clock marker. It may polish out.
The hands will clean up and then everything will get fresh lume.
Another 6119-6023.
This one is in rough shape. It runs for a few seconds at a time but I haven't been able to remove the case back yet...sitting in a shalow dish of cleaner to see if I can soften up the rust.
As can be seen, the dial appears to be in fairly good shape except around the dat/date window region. Along with that; the inner bezel doesn't turn but is likely just corroded in place by all that blue green stuff.
I'll be happy if I can get one of these restored and the 6309 will probably become a mod due to impossible to get things like bezel inserts and chapter rings.
Also, as an update on this one that came last week...
I am pleased to report that it is still on the full charge indicator so it has a Lithium Ion rechargeable battery in it. I'll leave it for now.
The bezel will be seeing sand paper tomorrow. I hope I can remove the chrome plating while leaving enough of the numbers that they can be repainted after I replate the top side.
I managed to get the case back off of the water damaged 6119...
The crown is stuck and the rotor screw was loose. Incredibly this movement runs once it has a charge on it...whale snot and all.
The crown was solidly rusted into the tube and came out in pieces :-/
The dial is beyond help as well.
Oh well, at least the movement is good and maybe the case.
