I would like clarification on the variant on the inner ring 6030 because I see two silver points under the 50 & 55 or two orange points also under the 50 & 55 .early production ...? thank's.

it seme to be a characteristic of the early versions. Mikes is earlier than yours but his has orange markers. There is no rhyme or reason to the Seikos some times with colors and such. Seiko seem to have not been so fussy as collectors about colors of hands and bezels and wotnots

6030 from feb 70 I'd consider parting with a kidney for a nice OEM bezel/insert

I've got a NOS one and the pips are orange. If the original ones were silver, they would have changed because the additional colour means an additional operation on the pad printer.

Adrian I am confused. The numbers are already applied using silver, so this is a 2-color operation regardless of whether they go with silver or orange on the 50 and 55 dots, no ? I assign this to being like everything else Seiko, full of minute variations across production runs.

The heat here is killing me. It's not dreadfully hot yet but I'm built for the northern frosts. You're right it's a 2 colour job here. When I wrote this I thought the letters were white.....
