In a moment of weakness at the Seiko Outlet, I grabbed one of these. After 35 years of wearing mostly Seiko Divers, it is refreshing to wear a sleeker watch. Occasionally.
It claims to be water resistant to 30 meters. That really doesn't work for me. So, I'm wondering if anybody has any insight as to what area is limiting this watch's water resistance? I suspect it is the stem style. It seems rather small. Too thin of a crystal? The case back is see through but appears the same as 100 meter models. I don't plan on scuba diving with it but I want to be able to jump into the ocean or pool without worry.
I have a small collection of ETA/Rolex type screw down crowns. It might be time to dust off the mini mill and see what I can do. A sapphire crystal would be nice too.
