Hello gang, May I politely ask for some help from you knowledgeable folks? I was looking at an auction from the seller "W-doors", who I had never run across before. He was selling a 1968 Grand Seiko 4520-8000 Hi-Beat (36,000 bph), which I understand is a very prestigious model in Seiko's history. I was expecting it to go for well over a thousand dollars, but the end selling price was US$660!? Below are some screen shots of his listing and his seller pictures. Is there something I am missing? Do you think this is for real? A fake? A cobble-job of mixed parts? I thank you in advance for any knowledge you can impart, or opinions and viewpoints you can express. - Thomas

I would think his Ebay feedback says a lot about him.
Over 400 transactions with a 99% rating is pretty good.
YMMV

I wish a) that I could help, b) that I had one. "It is three stitches of standard models" ? I've seen some weird translations before, usually decipherable, but this one

I hear you trandy, but I have looked at a couple of seller's feedback, and seen multiple examples of big blocks of like 20 sales to the same person, all with identical feedback like "Great!". It looks like they are "padding" their feedback with shills to me. Not saying this is the case with "W-doors", just saying... The watch looks legit to me, but some of the experts here have pointed out problems with other auctions I was looking at. - Thomas

Terrible feedback. No reason it should not be 100% or close. I've sold over 4,000 items on my two accounts and never had a single negitive feedback. 99% for someone with a fair few sales is bad mojo. Anyone who says different needs to try being a better seller on evilBay.
