Hello watch geeks I need to get my fathers Seiko 6309-7049 serviced is the Seiko service center any good Depends on what country you are in. That being said, there are several individuals on this forum who can and will do a far better job than nay of the Seiko service centers. Check out the Watch services section of the forum. And welcome2aboard Wrist Sushi!

located in the united states Excellent. Then you have several choices. There are the folks listing their service her on the Watch Services page and then there are folks like Jack Alexyon at IWW(just Google that and you'll find him). There are several others and I'm sure our membership will pipe up with more good guys that do our vintage watches justice. Sadly most of the good guys are backed up and the return times can be weeks if not months so be patient with whoever you chose to work with

Welcome!
I wouldn't go to COSERVE in Mahwah NJ for anything (except parts but I don't think they sell to consumers)! They buggered up the alarm on my 7T32 when they changed the battery!
I'd recommend Spencer based personal experience. He's worked on a few of mine and I've bought / traded with him. IMHO, you can't go wrong and the result makes the wait worthwhile.
There are other members here who also have great reputations and would surely make you happy but I haven't worked with them personally so I can't recommend them. Let's put it this way . . . . if there were any issues with any service provider, this group would surely make it known. What I'm saying is that you can be confident of anyone who offers their services through the "Services Offered" section.
Best of luck!
