I missed out on a couple of these for sale the other day, that sold cheap!! I woke up early to bid, but after making breakfast and taking a shower I forgot why I was up so early!?! I went to work and remembered when I took a break about two hours too late! Darn it, I felt like a fool!
If you are following the "Spring" unveilings, you have already seen these first four.

Now it's time to open that smaller bundle, out of the first box.

Nice! A black-dialed, 27 jewel, 1967 Seiko Bell-matic 4006-7010!
These are pretty darn cool watches. With the crown in you hand-wind the alarm spring. The watch has its own spring that is wound "automatically". You pull the crown to the first stop to set the alarm ring position, and all the way out to set the hands. The date can be quick-set by pushing the alarm stem inward, and the day has to be set by moving the hands from 12 to 1 am repeatedly.

A closer look. This watch is not "cherry" but good enough for me, and that kept the price low! For example there is a "cracked mud" kind of texture to the black dial (which is also nice and shimmery), and I am not sure that is how it came, or from age.

A sturdy bracelet, but not from Seiko...

I found a nice "pebbly" black strap that I thinks looks good, what do you think?
It is cool having a mechanical alarm watch! The setting doesn't seem extremely accurate, I think I am getting +/- 2 minutes, but it may take some getting used to. I like the fairly quiet "tinging" of the alarm! It won't wake me up, but in the office it is much better than some obnoxious beeping!!

A very manly looking watch, I think. I see Otto Frei has replacement acrylic crystals, too.
But hey, two more to go, gotta keep moving! Thanks for looking!
