This watch is more than I expected and with that said in a good way. I just feel like this HOT 09 from Dr. Seiko (Randall Benson) is just a champ. It really oozes quality and robustness. I am not usually a "modded" Seiko kinda guy but this one is floating my boat, you all know what I mean. Here is a pic...  |

Pass the asbestos gloves (after health and safety risk assessment) I love that dial and hand combo, its sort of omega style and have a modded 6309-7040 with the same. The case coating makes it a bit special IMO and has got me to thinking I should at least get mine blasted.

Great mod! Looks pretty hot on that orange strap!  I like modded 6309s, here's mine which looks very close to yours minus the bead blasted finish and hands...  It's currently with Spencer for some TLC as it stopped working. When it comes back I'll wear the hell out of it! Enjoy yours! |

Looks great! Was it blasted with aluminum oxide? How is it in terms of comfort?

Myles Actually there is no issues with comfort since the zulu strap it is on right now is between the watch back and my wrist. But the aluminum oxide finish is actually not really "rough" at all. It is a fine blast so it is pretty mellow. I really like the effect. Thanks for asking! |

It really is a cool finish, one suggestion is to make sure you blast a bracelet at the same time if you are a bracelet wearing kinda guy. I have another mod and the blast matches the bracelet making it a "complete" look. |
